一、教学目标:

2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常用语: What is he/she doing? 及回答
3. 能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
4. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型

教学重点:能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。
教学难点:能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人正在做什么。
 
三、教学过程:
Step1 Pre-reading
1.Greeting
Good afternoon, class. How are you?
2.Free talk
?Today I bring a flash aboutfamily”
Let’s watch it.
?T&Ss : Family is father and mother I love you.
How many people are there in your family?
Who are they?
What does your father do?
Does your ... a ... Too?
Do they go to work at weekends?
So they are very busy. What can we do to help them?
?I can give you some tips Look, they are doing house for their parents.
Pictures:clean the car/table wash the dishes/clothes sweep the floor
today we learn a new grammar
   Please read it quickly by yourselves.
3.Let’s try.
① T-Ss:What is he doing? He is ...
            What is she doing? She is...(出示句型板书)
② Can you ask? S-T S: What is he doing? What is she doing?
               
③ Work in pairs
5.They are doing housework.We also can help our parents do housework.
 Today we’ll learn Unit5 Helping our parents.
Step2 While-reading
T:Look ,the children are doing housework too. They are helping their parents. Let’s watch the flash and answer my questions.

T:Please read it together: It is Saturday. Mike and Helen are helping their parents.
²      T: what housework are they doing?
 S:Mike is cleaning the car. Helen is sweeping the floor.
²      T:Please read P48 loudly and underline the answers.
   Read and underline
  T: Are you OK?
²      T:Look at the pictures can you discibe like this.
   Look and describe the pictures.
② P49 They are doing these things on Saturday morning.What about on Saturday afternoon. Please turn to page 49 and read with your deskmate.
u     Match and say T: First read ,then do the exercise.
 Can you say like this: Mike’s mother is cooking dinner .
 Who’s this Little boy? Is he Tim’s brother? S: No, he is Tim’s cousin.
 Mrs Brown ,Mike and Helen are busy. Is Tim busy too?
 Ok, Let’s read the whole passage after the tape.

u     Imagine and say
 They are busy in the morning and in the afternoon. What about Saturday evening? Please imagine :what are they doing in the evening?
 
Step3 Post-reading
We know what are the Black family doing on Saturday morning and afternoon. What about the Saturday evening ? Let’s look at the picture and write it down.
 
Step4 Homework.
1.Read the text after the tape three times.
2. Help your parents do housework.
